General Summary of Position
Administrative responsibility and accountability for the management and direction of the operational personnel financial and marketing activities of the department. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Health philosophy policies procedures and standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Education
- Bachelor's degree in related field required or
- Master's degree in Health Services Administration Business or related field preferred preferred
- 8-10 years with 3 years progressive Sterile Processing Administrative & clinical experience required and
- 5-7 years in an acute care hospital setting required
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
- Sterile Processing certification required
- Comprehensive knowledge of Sterile Processing and demonstrated leadership competencies. Ability to plan direct execute and evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of meeting daily surgical and sterile processing requirements across the organization. Excellent conceptual synthesizing and analytical skills. Current working knowledge of automated materials management and financial/information management reporting systems. Excellent human resource management skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of disciplines and oversees broad management of all resources. Flexible and adaptable to change and as needed assumes the role of change agent. Excell public relations and communication skills. Ability to deal with high stress associated with surgical services and organizational needs. Works collaboratively across the organization region and within the system Perioperative Governance direction(s).

USD $80,995.00 - USD $152,027.00 /Yr.
