MedStar Health currently has an opening for a daytime Advanced Practice Provider at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. The ideal candidate will preferably have 3yrs+ of inpatient experience in the field of Hospital Medicine or similar. New NP graduates will not be considered at this time.
Weekly schedule is flexible – work 44 (10hr) shifts per quarter as a full-time 1.0FTE APP – NO Weekends and NO Call! Hours are 7am-5pm. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: daily hospital rounds, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, collaborating with consultants, and discharge planning. As active rounders (occasional admission), our clinicians are expected to focus on evidence-based medicine in order to improve patient quality, safety, throughput, and patient experience and communication. Daytime rounding APP will have the opportunity to work independently and have a cap of 12 patients.
