Provides administrative support to assigned Sales Consultant(s).    Serves as the first line of communication between the client, prospect, broker or consultant for questions and inquiries.

Responsibilities

Sales Support Coordinator

·   Supports Sales Consultant for prospecting and all areas related to business acquisition

·   (Benefits Quote Requests, account worksheets, certificate and Summary Plan Description (SPD) review, WebBen system creation and review system maintenance, group reporting, etc.).

·   Organizes and coordinates details related to successful group implementation with internal departments and business distribution channels

·   Mines and logs information related to Sales in Goldmine and other resources as directed.

·   Maintains knowledge of   healthcare environment and impact MMO  product and processes and  maintains an active Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) licensing status.

·   Performs other duties as assigned and covers for other

  

Sr. Sales Support Coordinator

·    Performs Sales Consultant duties (e.g., Benefit Quote Requests; new business quotes RFPs; certificate review; WebBen system creation and review; verify rates/benefits prior to sale, preparation and follow through of implementation process, etc.). Participate in Sales Strategy session with Sales Consultant and with internal stakeholders for each regional prospect.  Understands the functions of all areas of the company and builds internal and external networks to navigate problem resolution for clients and brokers.  Operates using a multitude of systems, applications and operations knowledge required to successfully perform job duties.  Initiates changes, tracks and monitors progress of the changes, audits the outcomes of the changes implemented.  Spots trends and educates Team about these developments.  Assesses data and provides recommendations based on the analysis.  Leads Squad Talks Calls when applicable.

·   Interacts with clients, brokers, consultants, internal departments, and vendors to resolve elevated issues related to the RFP Process. Possess a clear understanding of each prospects needs. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the entire formal RFP process and available products.

·   Able to navigate each secure portal and knowledge of internal distribution process of all documentation. Ability to obtain completed reporting review and check for accuracy (i.e., disruption, GEO's, etc.).  Demonstrates diligence in working with internal and external resources to provide effective and efficient closure to open items.  Has a clear understanding of internal operations and leverages this knowledge to close-out open items as they pertain to all RFP processes & procedures as well as any other open issues.    Assists Sales Consultant as needed in the field to present basic information, benefit review, implementation paperwork in a concise manner.  Makes sound recommendations to resolve problems and implements process/procedure updates to avoid repeating. 

·   Completion of sales implementation checklist, audit of final sold benefits and final certificate booklet review with the account team to ensure a smooth transition for the client and broker.

·   Attends implementation meetings as directed by team management (i.e., pre-implementation/implementation meetings, etc.).  Presents information before large groups in a confident manner.  Conducts training and deploys new processes and procedures along with talking points and other training information take-aways. Conducts departmental/Team training.

·   Mentors and develops sales support coordinators and account coordinators for the service team.

·   Assists various teams across the state with formal 1000 RFP's when needed.

·   Supports and assists with corporate initiatives and directives by releasing any applicable and approved communications, related reporting, and tracks customer feedback in the designated database (i.e., Goldmine Reporting).  Makes recommendations to the team about these processes, to streamline outreach.

·   Maintains awareness of product and process changes; industry trends and any governmental regulatory changes by staying current with updates provided through internal and external sources; actively participating in staff meetings, trainings and webinars.

·   Performs duties as assigned.  Participates in process improvement committees and other process/procedural initiatives.  Conducts statewide training for all Sales Support Coordinators.  Is a leader for the Team - is a trusted and relied-upon internal and external resources.



Qualifications

Qualifications

Sales Support Coordinator

Education and Experience:

·   Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred, but will consider collective experience, training and education.

·   2 years support experience in a financial services, health insurance, customer service or related environment.

 

Professional Certification(s):

·   Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) license(required to obtain within 4 months of hire).

·   Healthcare Reform certification preferred.

 

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

·   Knowledge of health insurance products and sales and service operations  (underwriting, stop loss, benefit plan design, funding).

·    Intermediate MS Office Skills.

  

 

Sr. Sales Support Coordinator

Education and Experience:

·    Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred, but will consider collective experience, training and education.

·    4 years support experience in a financial services, health insurance, customer service or related environment.

 

 

Professional Certification(s):

·    Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) license

 

 

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

·    Knowledge of health insurance products and sales and service operations  (underwriting, stop loss, benefit plan design, funding).

·    Intermediate MS Office Skills (Excel, Word and Power Point).

·    Possesses a solid knowledge base of Underwriting rating principals, funding arrangements and renewal developments.
