Serves as a captive agent to develop individual sales leads through event marketing, community activities, faith-based organizations, and in-store visits. Focuses both on under and over 65 audience to educate and sell appropriate health insurance and ancillary products.
Responsibilities
· Organizes, attends, and runs a variety of events representing Medical Mutual to educate and sell within the individual market.
· Develops and maintains relationships with retailers, community/faith-based groups and associations to leverage event opportunity to increase sales of under and over 65 contracts.
· Maintains relationships with individuals through phone calls, emails & mailings.
· Calls on businesses to determine in-store marketing opportunities.
· Researches and explores potential avenues and creates new opportunities to sell individual policies in the market.
· Performs other duties as assigned #LI-REMOTE
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience dealing with insurance brokers or as an insurance broker preferred.
• Experience with Individual health insurance, life disability or related sales.
Professional Certification(s):
• Current Ohio Department of Insurance Health & Life Insurance License required
• Successful completion of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) or Gorman Health Group's CMS Training Certification or ability to obtain within one week.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
• Strong sales skills, ability to increase sales through independent broker/agents
• Ability to make data driven decisions
• Strong knowledge of health insurance industry, understands laws and regulations that may impact our clients.
