Responsibilities

Learning & Development Specialist I

Delivers, develops, and implements corporate or divisional training curriculum and/or development programs. Evaluates and administers training and development programs. Implements tools, practices, and approaches to facilitate learning that directly supports and effectively meets the needs of participants.

·         Designs and develops training programs and materials.

·         Develops the content and flow of the storyboards for online courses and creates the online course using authoring software.

·         Delivers and facilitates foundational level training programs for employees.

·         Prepares metrics and reports on the impact and effectiveness of programs.

·         Keeps abreast of current trends and best practices within the learning and development industry to continually bring in fresh ideas and approaches.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Learning & Development Specialist II

Analyzes the delivery, development, and implementation of corporate or divisional training curriculum and/or development programs. Conducts program evaluations and handles ongoing administration of training and development programs. Implements tools, practices, and approaches to facilitate learning that directly supports and effectively meets the needs of participants.

·         Delivers and facilitates routine to moderately complex training programs to employees and management.

·         Conducts analysis, design and development of classroom and online training.

·         Interacts with subject matter experts to identify participant learning needs.

·         Creates online courses including content, flow vision and conceptualization of training into an online format using authoring software.

·         Analyzes human performance data to assess the impact and effectiveness of programs; reports results and manages ongoing process improvements related to results of evaluations.

·         Keeps abreast of current trends and best practices within the learning and development industry to continually bring in fresh ideas and approaches.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Senior Learning & Development Specialist

Leads the delivery, development, and implementation of corporate or divisional training curriculum and/or development programs. Provides direction / input on the design and development of curriculum and courseware. Conducts program evaluation and analysis of training and development programs. Researches, develops, and implements tools, practices, and approaches to facilitate learning that directly supports and effectively meets the needs of participants.

·         Delivers and facilitates varied and/or complex training programs to employees and management.

·         Leads and/or provides oversight for the delivery, development and implementation of training curriculum and development programs.

·         Consults with clients to determine appropriate learning solutions.

·         Manages relationships with external vendors supporting the delivery of programs, including negotiating cost/budget, delivery expectations and customer satisfaction.

·         Creates online courses including content, flow vision and conceptualization of training into an online format using authoring software.

·         Researches and analyzes the impact and effectiveness of new technologies, vendors, and programs; Makes recommendations and manages ongoing process improvements.

·         Provides guidance and direction for more junior level staff.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Qualifications

Learning & Development Specialist I

·         Bachelor's degree in Business, Education or related field.

·         1 year of adult classroom delivery or facilitation experience, preferably in a financial services environment.

·         Certified Professional Trainer preferred (or working towards designation).

·         Knowledge of and the ability to apply fundamental instructional design theories and adult learning principles.

·         Intermediate Microsoft Office and online learning authoring systems skills.

Learning & Development Specialist II

·         Bachelor's degree in Business, Education or related field.

·         3 years' experience as a Learning & Development Specialist or equivalent experience in adult learning or organizational development, preferably in a financial services environment.

·         Certified Professional Trainer preferred (or continued progress towards designation).

·         Knowledge of and the ability to apply more progressive instructional design theories and adult learning principles.

·         Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

·         Knowledge of building/using online learning authoring systems.

Senior Learning & Development Specialist

·         Bachelor's degree in Business, Education or related field.

·         Master's degree in adult learning, organizational development, or related field preferred.

·         5 years progressive experience as a Learning & Development Specialist or equivalent experience in adult learning or organizational development,

·         preferably in a financial services environment.

·         Demonstrated experience leading projects or teams.

·         Certified Professional Trainer strongly preferred (or substantial progress towards designation).

·         Knowledge of and the ability to apply advanced instructional design theories and adult learning principles.

·         Advanced Microsoft Office and online learning authoring skills.
