This role is a hybrid opportunity with 1-2 days/week on site at the Brooklyn, Ohio location.
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our growing Enterprise Architecture team. We are going through a period of growth and investment that has seeking more talent in this very important area of IT. We are seeking Enterprise Architects who have experience with creating roadmaps for strategic projects, capability development and company acquisitions. Specific areas of focus are needed with application rationalization, modernization/analysis of current systems and migrating legacy (including mainframe) systems to cloud based SAS solutions.
Experience in Health Care is preferred along with experience leveraging Azure based services for modernizing our application portfolio. We are seeking individuals who have experience setting up architecture governance to ensure consistency across our work and are comfortable creating assets such as reference architectures, enterprise architecture integration patterns and facilitating the creation of standards for Solution Architects to use.
Responsibilities
- Translates overall IT roadmap into actionable processes.
- Supports the establishment of targeted architecture and develops standards covering key domains (Application, Data, Engineering and Infrastructure).
- Defines transitional plan. Focuses on streamlining environments.
- Collaborates within teams, participates in reviews of all prospective software and hardware acquisitions.
- Evaluates compatibility with current architecture and supports future architecture design roadmaps.
- Identifies and documents architectural risks and proposes alternatives and solutions.
- Develops architectural metrics and reports for the executive team, business and IT management.
- Maintain active awareness of IT industry including emerging trends, development tools and best practices.

Architect II
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of training/education and experience.
- 5 years proven ability to transfer technology to end user applications/environments.
- 2 years of experience influencing technical direction in one of the following: application, data bases, or infrastructure.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Expert in one or more technologies (Microsoft, OpenSource, Databased (relational, graph, Map, Document).
- Experience with suite of IT applications including transactional, middleware integration, workflow, web based.
- Advanced knowledge in infrastructure and networks with a focus on security.
- Advanced understanding of various project methodology disciplines with advanced knowledge of information and systems architectures, highly proficient in website architectures.
- Advanced understanding of various data base platforms and data warehousing.
- Exposure to Enterprise Architecture EA Framework such as FEAC, TOGAF or DODAF.
- Experience with .NET, Microsoft Dynamics Azure, Power BI, and Agile preferred.
- Experience working in insurance or healthcare environment preferred.
Architect III
Education and Experience
