Maintains the physical security and safety of Medical Mutual's facility, personnel and visitors by performing a variety of security-related activities.
Responsibilities
Enforcement Officer
- Ensures the physical security, safety and well-being of all Company personnel, visitors and assets.
- Greets all persons entering or calling the facility and provides information to their inquiries and/or requests.
- Enforces company policy concerning security, life/safety on the company premises.
- Monitors company CCTV, operates access control systems, provides general observation and surveillance of inner and outer perimeter of company property.
- Patrols the building for potential security incidents, safety and fire hazards, unsecured areas, and unauthorized persons.
- Protects company assets relative to theft, damage, fire and other safety related issues.
- Responds to emergency situations: i.e. issues of workplace violence, violent offenders, associates stranded in elevators, accidents, fires, medical emergencies, crimes in progress, alarm notifications, etc. Assists with emergency procedures and may direct public safety officials.
- Completes detailed security incident reports for all events occurring on shift.
- Handles other security related functions as assigned by Medical Mutual Security Management personnel.
Sr. Enforcement Officer
- Acts as the Senior Enforcement Officer for Medical Mutual.
- Ensures the security, safety and well-being of all Company personnel, visitors and assets.
- Greets all persons entering or calling the facility and provides information to their inquiries and/or requests.
- Enforces company policy concerning security, life/safety on the company premises.
- Leads a staff of Enforcement Officers employed by Medical Mutual and externally contracted security management personnel.
- Partners with external contracted security management and personnel (currently United American Security LLC).
- Handles administrative duties for personnel, including creating and managing weekly staff scheduling and participation in the interview process for new personnel.
- Assists Medical Mutual Security Management in preparation for security related exercises and training, to include emergency preparedness planning and training (i.e. fire and other evacuations, lockdowns and incidents -i.e. active shooter) and associated employee training.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience as an Enforcement Officer, preferably in a corporate setting.
Professional Certification(s)
- Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) certification and/or qualified for The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) is required.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of security procedures.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Enforcement Officers.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
