SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

Patient Care Tech / PCT CSU PRN


Position Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT's skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The PCT complies with all hospital policies/procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.

Medical City North Hills is licensed for 164 beds, has over 300 physicians and 30 medical specialties. The ER has about 39,000 visits each year and is a Level III Trauma Center. Additionally, we are a Primary Stroke Center, perform spine surgery and joint replacements and have a comprehensive cardiovascular services department. Our hospital is an accredited Cycle 5 Chest Pain Center with a cardiac rehabilitation program

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

*CNA Training Program                                                                                                                                                                                                                   *One *One years of experience in an acute care setting.

Licensure, Certifications, Training:

*CNA certification with the State or fundamentals of Nursing Course at accredited school is preferred                

*Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
