DescriptionSHIFT: Days (rotating weekends)
POSITION SUMMARY: Is proficient in occupational therapy treatment for acute care and inpatient rehab populations. Provides direction and guidance to support personnel. Evaluates and provides therapy to individuals with impairments in activities of daily living skills, mobility, upper extremity strength, range of motion, and coordination, along with safety awareness, decision making, compensation skills and other components of functional independence skills. Understand and is able to adjust treatment plans according to the motor development stages. Possess the ability to coordinate physician, therapist, patient, and family goals into an appropriate plan of care. Able to educate patient and family about disease process precautions, limitations, or sensations related to the patient's condition either verbally, written or both. Demonstrates the ability to efficiently treat patients and document appropriately and effectively. Ensures provision of quality patient care for patient population served including evaluation, treatment and discharge planning.

- Bachelor/Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Texas Occupational Therapy license
- Current CPR certification
