Job Title: Open Rank, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA)

The Department of Endocrine Neoplasia and Hormonal Disorders at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center seeks talented clinicians to apply to join the faculty as an expert in oncologic endocrinology.

Key responsibilities of our clinical faculty include providing state-of-the-art care for patients with a broad array of malignant and benign endocrine tumors, including of the thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, and parathyroid glands. Experience with the use of systemic agents like kinase inhibitors and immunotherapy is preferred but not essential. We also deliver expert consultation and direct management of metabolic and endocrine disorders in patients with cancer, including emphasis on outpatient and inpatient diabetes management. Responsibilities include supervision of trainees and advanced practice providers on the inpatient consultation services. The position is primarily clinical, but opportunities for clinical and translational research and quality improvement initiatives are also expected.

The successful candidate will join a department that currently includes 21 adult and pediatric endocrinologists, and 4 laboratory research faculty members. The department provides a broad array of primary oncologic care for patients with endocrine neoplasia as well as endocrine consultative services to the larger cancer patient population of the institution.

EDUCATION

Required: Doctoral degree (M.D.) from an accredited school. Candidate must also be certified, or eligible to be certified, in Endocrinology.

Preferred: Experience beyond Endocrinology fellowship preferred

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

Required: Texas State Medical License
