Title and Summary

VP, Enterprise Operations for resilience response team Overview:
Join our dynamic team in ONE (Operations, Network, and Employee) as we drive a transformational era of operational resiliency and supplier management. We're seeking talented individuals to join our newly formed team dedicated to driving operational resilience across the organization. As a member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the operational resiliency of Mastercard critical services, collaborating with infrastructure teams, engineers, BizOps, A&T and other stakeholders in Risk and Compliance to deliver exceptional results.

Role:
Identify critical operational resiliency challenges:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of the organization's operational processes based on existing data points (e.g., incidents, problems, customer input) and new upcoming measurements (e.g., availability)

Prioritize the most critical challenges and develop a clear roadmap for addressing them.

Establish and maintain a Top 5-10 list of priorities for the Operational Resiliency Office.

Lead cross functional mitigation activities:

Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to address identified operational risks.

Collaborate with relevant teams to develop and execute action plans.

Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Resource Allocation:

Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including finance, program teams, and other relevant departments.

Work closely with these stakeholders to ensure that adequate resources are allocated to support mitigation efforts.

Advocate for the necessary investments to maintain a resilient operational environment.

Progress Monitoring and Re-Prioritization:

Track the progress of agreed-upon mitigation actions and ensure they are completed within the specified timelines.

Regularly review the operational environment for emerging risks and assess the need for re-prioritization.

Conduct periodic audits to evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation measures.

About You:
Strategic thinking and leadership:

Experience teaming with leaders in the technical community to evaluate existing challenges in managing our critical infrastructure suppliers, identify risks and remediate if needed, including maintenance of vendor relations

Experience acting as an escalation point for difficult issues and communicating overall status with management and external suppliers

Extensive experience building strategic and collaborative working relationships with global internal and external stakeholders

Technical expertise and understanding:

Extensive experience leading teams across technology domains as a technical expert, identifying and guiding implementation of innovative global standards and/or improvements for performance, availability, security and service

A deep understanding of the Mastercard payment ecosystem to rapidly identify existing challenges without the need for a comprehensive assessment.

Extensive experience leading large cross-functional technology initiatives, demonstrating a strong ability to anticipate/resolve technical challenges and escalations

Thought leadership in operational data analytics:

Data-driven decision making: The ability to use data to make informed decisions and drive improvements.

Problem-solving: The capacity to identify and resolve issues related to supplier performance, service delivery, and contractual compliance. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
