VP, Advertiser Product Development, Consumer Acquisition and Engagement Overview

Mastercard Services is responsible for acquiring, engaging and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, cybersecurity and improving the digital payments experience while providing value added services and using expertise, data-driven insights and execution support. Within Mastercard Services, our Customer Acquisition & Engagement business drives profitable business growth and maximizes customer lifetime value by transforming routine interactions into lasting relationships. We leverage our unique advantages in data, personalization, incentives, and optimization, in addition to our global expertise and scale, to efficiently acquire high value new customers, drive engagement and desired behaviors, and build customer loyalty. Our products encompass a full range of capabilities, including strategic consulting, campaign and creative design and execution, on-going optimization and personalization, rewards and offers, and loyalty program design and execution.

About the Role:
We are seeking a visionary and strategic product development leader to drive the transformation of one of our fast-growing businesses within this group at the intersection of commerce, data and digital experiences. In this high-impact role, this leader will help shape and deliver the product vision and roadmap for a key area within the business – focused on helping customers achieve measurable outcomes through data-driven, performance-oriented solutions.

This VP will lead a team of product development managers to evaluate customer needs, identify opportunities for growth and bring to market scalable capabilities that create value across our ecosystem. Working closely with cross-functional partners, this leader will define a cohesive product strategy and develop and execute a product roadmap that builds on our unique data and technology assets. This role will evaluate and prioritize ideas to determine which initiatives to advance, and will recommend build, buy or partner strategies based on business goals and market dynamics. This role requires a strong understanding of data-driven ecosystems and the ability to build scalable, customer-centric solutions that connect retailers and consumers in relevant, measurable ways.

Success in this role demands a proven ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams, present confidently to senior executives, and be a thought leader for external clients. This individual must be comfortable with ambiguity, act with a sense of urgency, and adapt quickly to shifts in market and competitive dynamics.

• Define product vision and ensure delivery of a strong, dynamic roadmap, making sure teams are focused on the right priorities to deliver solutions that meets business objectives, strategic goals and stakeholder needs
• Drive end-to-end product execution, from early-stage experimentation through to global enterprise deployments
• Establish clear business goals and key results (adoption, engagement, revenue growth, etc.); foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, and lead continuous optimization efforts
• Build and lead a high-performing product management team, mentoring talent, and ensuring strong alignment across design, engineering, and go-to-market functions
This VP will be part of Consumer Acquisition & Engagement product leadership team.

About You:
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in product development within the Ad-tech and Martech space, having launched high-volume solutions across a broad partner ecosystem of agencies, advertisers and publishers. You have worked closely with senior executives at both customers and prospects as part of solution delivery, and have developed deep industry insights along the way. You have strong subject matter expertise in marketing technology including media buying platforms and advertising automation systems used by large agencies. You're well versed in product development involving AI and APIs, and have experience integrating with platforms such as Google Ads, Adobe Advertising Cloud, Amazon Ads, Pacvue, Skai, The Trade Desk, Pubmatic, and Magnite. You are comfortable guiding customer journey sessions with product teams, advising on technology approaches, and process tradeoffs and weighing risks and opportunities.

• 10+ years of product management experience in ad-tech, martech or digital media ideally within both high-growth environments and large, matrixed enterprises
• Deep understanding of marketing technology ecosystems, including media buying platforms, campaign automation and performance optimization tools
• Experienced in project management, ensuring tracking of key milestones and deliverables in product development software such as Jira, ALM, Aha!
• Demonstrated experience establishing and executing inspection mechanisms to analyze roadmap durability, backlog health, delivery velocity, quality, feature throughput, and product performance – leveraging data to drive continuous improvements with a product management team
• Comfortable with ambiguity and working independently
• Strong people management experience
• Proven ability to act with persistence and a relentless sense of urgency
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with senior-level executives, both internally and externally
• Strong competency preparing presentation materials with strong storytelling
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ability to travel as needed (up to 50%) across these locations to manage teams and deepen business relationships. Candidate experience should include managing 10+ engineering scrum teams distributed across continents and functional areas.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
