Title and Summary

Vice President, GBSC Financial Systems Overview:
Mastercard's Global Business Solutions Center (GBSC) is dedicated to helping the organization transform their business operations to achieve higher efficiency, effectiveness, and agility. The GBSC supports more than 200 services across 89 countries spanning all business units. Our commitment to excellence, innovation, and collaboration drives us to continuously elevate standards and exceed expectations in every endeavor. A key foundational pillar to this is our Financial Systems team and the GBSC is looking to hire a VP, GBSC Financial Systems.

The GBSC Financial Systems team acts as consultants supporting the GBSC teams and critical Mastercard Business verticals (Corporate & Regional Controllership, Data & Services, Mastercard TECH, etc.), as well as partners with TECH to support Mastercard by providing system solutions, system/application management, project management for key Finance systems and user support. The team is built upon strong contributors with leadership abilities, consulting mindsets, deep business/process knowledge and strong project management skills.

The primary responsibility of the VP, GBSC Financial Systems will be to manage daily systems operations, as well as identify and drive Mastercard's strategic initiatives related to our established ERP environment and multiple applications. Immediate contribution in the first year will include partnering with the Finance Modernization lead and TECH lead to drive an Oracle Cloud assessment and business case for a multi-year implementation roadmap.

Role:
• Lead the Mastercard Financial Systems team responsible for governance, leadership, strategy, business consulting, and operations across critical systems of Oracle, Coupa and multiple third-party applications
• Successful daily operational run and execution of a well-controlled team, system and operational environment with data quality and disaster recovery
• Oversee identification, enhancement and improvement of all risks in process, audit and key controls to mitigate gaps and subsequent risks
• Play a critical role supporting Finance Modernization team to define an Oracle Cloud assessment and multi-year roadmap for Global Finance
• Identify and prioritize automation driven opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance decision-making
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures including financial management, access management, records retention and business continuity
• Ensures execution against all M&A integration activities
• Lead change management and business case development on strategic technical initiatives
• Lead and manage a global Systems team of employees and non-employees – continue to assess and refine organization strategy based on evolving business needs
• Lead/Manage complex System based projects (200+ annually) partnering with internal Mastercard and GBSC stakeholders
• Act as a trusted business partner to stakeholders on addressing business challenges leveraging systems capabilities
• Act as key point of contact for Mastercard's strategic vendor partners; drive new partnerships as needed, negotiate new change requests, contract pricing, etc.
• Collaborate with global technical teams to drive various systems activities, including – planning/delivery of upgrades, disaster recovery exercises, monthly/quarterly releases, environment availability, etc.
• Maintain productive work environments with high employee satisfaction; attract and mentor a team of top tier leaders and high performing employees with a matured approach to problems solving and leadership

All About You:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in financial systems management, with a proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing ERP solutions.
• Expert level knowledge in Oracle Applications including Cloud implementation experience
• Proven track record of leading Oracle Cloud migration in a complex enterprise environment
• Strong understanding of Finance and accounting processes.
• Comfortable interacting with all levels of leadership including executives.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly engage and influence business partners; driving change as/when needed.
• Have expert level knowledge of key Project Management methodologies
• Have excellent written & verbal communication skillsets with the ability to effectively communicate & develop strong relationships within a multinational organization.
• Work independently, act with a sense of urgency and problem solve; anticipate and respond quickly to emerging information; confident with an ability to act with clarity in urgent or crisis situations
• Fiscally responsible mindset/strong financial acumen and ability to assess risk in operations and address it quickly
• Ability to design, gain alignment and successfully executive key enterprise initiatives from start to finish; works independently with guidance in on the most complex situations.
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to executive, technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in a global based shared services organization a plus. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
