Title and Summary

Vice President, Business Administration, Mastercard Payment Services Overview
Mastercard Payment Services delivers account-to-account payment services and infrastructure in four markets. Our main markets are Norway and Denmark, with eFaktura and Avtalegiro in Norway and Betalingsservice in Denmark as examples of key brands in the portfolio. We also deliver real-time payments in two markets in Central Europe.

The Vice President, Business Administration will play a key role in overseeing the implementation of a new strategy for Mastercard Payment Services (MPS). The role will oversee executive governance and strategic projects, securing the necessary oversight, decision-making, and accountability to implement the strategy. The role will work with the data and analytics team and elevate its focus from domestic insights to a strategic enabler.

Furthermore, the role will act as Chief of Staff for the MPS CEO and ensure streamlined activities within the organisation based on leadership priorities. The role will manage day-to-day activities to allow the MPS CEO to focus on developing and executing the business strategy for MPS. The role is expected to actively participate in the wider management of MPS's local business and dependencies within the Mastercard Group, with an ability to work seamlessly across the matrix, in an atmosphere of mutual reinforcement, respect, and trust.

Mastercard Payment Services is a regulated business with a dedicated Executive Leadership Team, overseen by an independent Board. This role will report directly to the Mastercard Payment Services CEO and be part of the Executive Leadership Team.

Role
• Provide management support by planning, leading, and delivering specific business tasks to secure efficient strategy execution
• Act as an advisor/representative to the MPS CEO and senior management team
• Coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring agreed actions are carried out, results monitored, and momentum maintained with ongoing projects/initiatives across the business
• In partnership with the CNPF global team, develop the data analytics team to be an enabler for decision-making, business development, and strategy implementation across multiple markets
• Build and recruit a high-performing business enablement team to secure strategy implementation and own strategic project teams
• Coordinate communication, public policy, and people & capabilities services delivered by the group to MPS on behalf of the MPS CEO

All About You
• Proven experience in supporting executives, preferably working with entities facing direct regulation by, for example, financial regulators
• Excellent business acumen and commercial awareness – able to identify and work towards meeting wider organisational goals
• Experience building strong relationships with key stakeholders, corporate executives, and other functions necessary for the performance of the role
• Impeccable managerial and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management
• Strategic thinking, with the ability to provide strategic advice and support to senior leaders, ensuring alignment with team and organisational goals
• Organised and detail-oriented, proficient in managing competing priorities and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, anticipate and proactively address issues that may arise
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
