Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Engineering Team Lead to spearhead the development of Mastercard's Click to Pay solution. In this role, you will lead a talented front-end engineering team to design, develop and deliver intuitive and secure user interfaces that provide a best-in-class checkout experience. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence and innovation in digital payment solutions.

Click to Pay is Mastercard's cutting-edge solution to simplify online checkout experiences, enabling faster and more secure payments for consumers. As part of this team, you'll work at the forefront of digital payment innovation, creating seamless user experiences that enhance Mastercard's global payment ecosystem.

Role:

• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of front-end engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences for the Click to Pay platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to define technical requirements and align on the product vision.
• Develop and maintain scalable, responsive, and accessible web application using modern front-end frameworks and technologies.
• Establish and enforce front-end best practices, including coding standards, testing, and performance optimization.
• Ensure the delivery of secure and complaint user interfaces that meet Mastercard's security and accessibility standards.
• Promote an Agile development culture, with a strong focus on collaboration, iterative progress, and delivering business value.
• Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and front-end testing frameworks to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.

All About You
• Extensive or advanced front-end development expertise, including previous team-leading and leadership positions.
• Experience in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript and frameworks like React, Angular and in particular Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG).
• Experience with front-end build tools and workflows (e.g. Webpack, Babel, Vite, NPM/Yarn)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
