Title and Summary

Software Engineer II - Test This role is part of the Software Engineering Group within the Mastercard Payment Gateway Services division in Dublin, collaborating with internal customers across the globe.

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Software development engineer in Test to join our testing team. This role focuses on ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through rigorous manual testing practices, while leveraging basic automation skills to enhance the testing process. The ideal candidate will possess strong manual testing expertise with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to grow and expand Skills in automation testing.

Key Responsibilities:

* Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
* Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test plans.
* Document and report defects with clear steps to reproduce and collaborate with developers for resolution.
* Developing and Executing Automation test suites.
* Identifying gaps in test automation frameworks and enhancing the framework capabilities.
* Work closely with development, product management, and other QA team members to ensure clear understanding of requirements.
* Participate in sprint planning and review meetings to identify potential testing requirements early
* Utilize tools like Jenkins for basic CI/CD pipeline operations and BrowserStack for cross-browser testing.
* Contribute to improving test processes and methodologies within the team.

All About You

* Proven experience debugging and testing Java/JVM-based and UI web applications.
* Expertise in modern test automation tools and processes, with a strong emphasis on Playwright, and experience with JavaScript/TypeScript automation scripting.
* Hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated test suites.
* Familiarity with Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks and practices.
* Knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, and jQuery.
* Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.
* Exposure to performance testing and cloud application testing is a plus.
* Background in developing or testing Java-based web services is desirable, but not required.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* 2-5 years of experience in software testing with a focus both manual/Automation testing.
