Title and Summary
Software Engineer II OverviewLooking for a qualified “Extract, Transform & Load” (ETL) Developer to join and enhance the Business Intelligence Team. The position will create and maintain ETL specifications and processes to produce our required data deliverables. You will be responsible for the analysis of impact changes on existing ETL processes to ensure timely completion and availability of data in data warehouse systems for reporting uses.
As part of our BI team, you will work closely with report stakeholders to ensure data consistency and ETL reliability. You will also collaborate with administrators and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements. Communication and organization skills are key for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our data transfer systems run effectively and securely on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
Create and modify data warehouses and data marts
Solve report usage issues and malfunctions
Design stable, reliable and effective data transfer systems
Ensure all ETL programs meet company and performance requirements
Research and suggest new data related products, services and protocols
Optimize legacy ETL systems
Liaise with report stakeholders to gather user requirements and identify new features
Requirements
Data modeling, data analysis, and data warehouse development experience required and extract transform and load (ETL) development experience preferred
2+ years of SQL and Relational Database experience
Ability to write and analyse complex SQL queries
At Least 1 year of experience working on Non Relational Databases
Knowledge of basic Linux commands is required
Knowledge of MongoDB Big Data systems is a plus
Expert level knowledge of Python scripting language
Hands-on experience with Talend Open Source, Talend Big Data or similar ETL Tools.
Familiarity with Matillion ETL, HVR tool and AWS DMS is a plus
Hands on experience with Snowflake will be preferred
Experience with AWS Redshift, DynamoDb are big pluses
Excellent analytical and organization skills
An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
MySQL, PostgreSQL database knowledge is preferred
Knowledge of Tableau is a plus
