Title and Summary

Senior Vice President, Product Development and Innovation, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions Overview:
Mastercard aims to solve consumer disputes and improve the payment experiences for consumers, issuers and merchants. We deliver these solution via Mastercom, our product & platform which enables dispute resolution on Mastercard Network and via Ethoca Network, our scheme agnostic solution that delivers faster refunds and a better consumer experience. Ethoca was acquired by Mastercard in April 2019.

The ever-growing Mastercard & Ethoca Networks connects issuers, acquirers, partners and merchants, our solutions provide rich intelligence throughout the purchase journey to close costly communication gaps between various stakeholders in the payments ecosystem. Thousands of the world's biggest ecommerce brands, the largest banks, service providers and consumers benefit through this collaboration. For the first time, fraud, customer dispute and purchase insights are now available and actionable in real time – delivering significant revenue-growth and cost saving opportunities for our clients.

This role is situated within Mastercard's Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (C&I) team, that is responsible for product development & management to address the evolving risk & cyber security needs for MasterCard's clients. The C&I team was established with the responsibility to safeguard all aspects of safety and security in payments and have made great strides with new products, services and standards, positively impacting all aspects of our current and future payment eco-system.

This is an unprecedented opportunity for a business-minded senior product leader who excels at use customer and market insight into new products and innovations that will accelerate Mastercom & Ethoca's next stage of growth. In this role, you will work closely with our customers and partners, outline a product strategy, vision and requirements, lead business architecture and go-to-market execution of integrated solutions targeting various customer segments, as well as regional markets. The individual will work closely with the executive team in devising comprehensive solutions to address current and emerging opportunities and will also serve as the primary product advocate for a suite of dispute and fraud products. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer of Ethoca and Executive Vice President of Mastercom.

Key highlights of the role:
This role is focused on leading teams responsible for the product management of Ethoca Alerts, Mastercom and the Fraud and Loss Database and support activities associated with all aspects of the Mastercard product management lifecycle. The role will work closely with Mastercard Operations & Technology Leaders, Ethoca Technology, Senior leadership throughout Mastercard, Ethoca sales teams and regional C&I product teams on product support, product development and new product opportunities.

Role Requirements:
• Evaluate the evolving payments experience & chargebacks landscape to craft a vision re: the future of disputes
• Lead and evolution of the dispute & consumer experience product strategy, across Mastercom and Ethoca Alerts, and ensure that a rich value proposition is delivered through our existing and new solutions;
• Deliver innovative and integrated solutions across our customer segments including card issuing banks; merchants across for enterprise, small business, and including specific vertical targets; and partner or reseller solutions for financial institutions, acquirers/ISOs and technology partners.
• Be the market face for product and service innovations, including participation in highly strategic collaboration forums and working group meetings comprised of Ethoca and Mastercards most influential merchant and card issuing customers;
• Transform the output of innovation workshops into a pipeline of emerging enhancements and new innovations; prove out the business case for emerging solutions in preparation for commercialization and market launch;
• Lead product analysis, recommendations and implementation for segmentation, solution packaging and overall commercialization, including pricing;
• Establish and maintain strong two-way communications with our go-to-market teams, customers and partners – chair periodic regional meetings and innovation workshops;
• Actively engage & collaborate with Technology & Engineering teams in creating solutions
• Support the evaluation, piloting and (re)launch of existing and new products and solutions in each region; establish feedback and continuous improvement processes; develop regional product launch playbooks;
• Monitor and assess risk of both existing and emerging competitive solutions, seeking to differentiate core capabilities, features and functions to ensure consistent competitive advantage in the marketplace;
• Develop clear, convincing and data-driven business cases for significant new growth investments;
• Drive and demonstrate industry leadership across our solutions and geographies, through market-driven vision, data-driven analysis and exemplary cross-team collaboration;
• Coach and inspire a high-performance global team; recruit new key staff and cultivate an entrepreneurial culture of ownership and accountability;
• The scope of this role is international and has P&L accountability.

Qualifications:
• At least 15 years of direct experience in the Payments, Card Fraud, Ecommerce, Financial Services and/or Technology sectors; Experience in disputes and chargebacks preferred;
• Proven track record as a group lead or overall lead for a global product management team in complex business-to-business technology and/or payment businesses (ecommerce preferred), with success through high-growth cycles;
• Strong go-to-market experience, ability to engage with internal & external stakeholders, frequently address critical & time-sensitive matters and be responsive to stakeholders
• Ability to hit the ground running, adapt quickly and take an action-oriented, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to execution that focuses on measurable results;
• Vision and passion for our business, with high energy, intelligence and self-driven motivation. Must be a proven and credible thought leader in the industry with a trusted reputation and influential network;
• Strategic, analytical, and systematic thinker who consistently challenges the status quo and constructively challenges the team to drive change and continuous improvement;
• Solid technical background and ability to engage with engineering teams to defined the product roadmap, assess engineering resources & timing needed to execute and ensure accountability for product delivery & usage
• Exceptional commitment to product management discipline and best practices; process-oriented, with a high attention to detail and quality on both internal team work and external products delivered to the market;
• Hands-on, resourceful and nimble, while also able to navigate a global matrix environment; consistently turns strategies into execution and measurable outcomes;
• Outstanding executive communications skills as a spokesperson for Mastercard & Ethoca across the industry, including direct experience speaking at high-profile industry events and conferences;
• Open, transparent and highly collaborative leader who builds trusted relationships across teams and geographies, and sets a personal standard of excellence that others aspire to;
• MBA is preferred. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
