Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Specialist, Product Experience Design for the Foundry Customer Experience & Design team to design customer-centric solutions that are feasible, viable and desirable. Foundry CX&Design ensures our product experiences are differentiated, de-risked and desirable, often working within new opportunity areas for the business and creating new value. The team is located in New York, Dublin, London and India and partners closely with Product Management and Engineering to deliver best-in-class products that drive value and business results for our customers and the end-consumer.

Primary Responsibilities

Qualified candidates have experience doing interaction design, working within design systems and conducting usability testing to refine their work. This role reports to the Director of Product Experience Design and will be part of a small team of designers working a broader group.

• Initiate and foster cross functional relationships among delivery partners

• Serve as primary contact on specific components of work

• Participate in initiative-level sessions, contribute to research studies, and patriciate in product experience design workshops

• Recommend and implement design decisions on initiatives, heavily influenced by research findings

• Leverage design best practices and patterns when feasible; proposing and codifying new patterns when appropriate

• Produce, test, and iterate on experience artifacts, including user flows, interaction models, prototypes, wireframes, low/high fidelity sketches, and design specifications

• Contribute to team values and culture priorities

• Invest efforts in self-development goals and opportunities


All About You

• Experience in the UX field with experience in interaction design and visual design.

• Ability to work from an existing visual style guide and/or design system is preferred.

• Experience in creating high fidelity designs and annotations, storyboards, user flows, customer journeys, site maps, etc.

• Created and delivered presentations to internal or external stakeholders

• Very strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong skills using Figma, FigJam

• Experience working and building relationships with colleagues from multiple countries or markets

• Experience working with internal colleagues across functions and job families and leveraging internal resources

Nice to have: Experience with unmoderated research

Nice to have: Experience with payments or complex transactional product design

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. New York City, New York: $119,000 - $190,000 USD
