Overview

The Global B2B & Product Marketing organization, as part of Integrated Marketing & Communications, partners with Product, Sales & Comms and is accountable for end-to-end product marketing. This includes leveraging consumer and customers insights to identify, test and refine product concepts; positioning our solutions internally and externally; developing sales enablement and B2B2C tools; and developing, executing and scaling marketing plans globally.

The Senior Specialist, B2B & Product Marketing, supports the team to create marketing solutions for customers, leverage Mastercard's assets and marketing platforms, and deliver a consistent and differentiated consumer and stakeholder experience.

We are looking for a top performer with entrepreneurial spirit and ambition to play a key role in promoting superior customer experiences and customer centric business solutions, including in areas that drive our business beyond the card, such as bill pay applications.
Role

The Senior Specialist will sit within a team that focuses on product marketing for Bill Pay and emerging payments technology. The Senior Specialist will specifically focus on supporting the Global product teams (Product Development, Product Management, Commericalization) serving as the connective tissue with Sales and the rest of Marketing.

Primary areas of focus include:

• Partnering with the relevant local and global Product and Sales teams to execute on marketing strategies, and deliver assets to fuel go-to-market plans for a range of existing and new solutions in Applications with focus on bill pay and emerging payments tech
• Crafting product positioning and value proposition articulation that reflect identified reasons to believe, are customer-need driven and competitively-positioned
• Developing robust content to power sales including scalable selling materials, case studies, B2B and B2B2C materials, videos, white papers, toolkits, and more
• Supporting and interpreting qualitative and qualitative research on market opportunities, trends, consumers, competitive landscape, etc. to help identify new opportunities and develop and refine product value propositions
• Supporting related initiatives such as presence at events, social media campaigns, customer pitches, and more

Responsibilities
• Executes marketing strategies, activities, and events (includes advertising, promotions, sponsorships, trade shows, webinars, websites) by helping to plan agendas, determining logistical requirements, etc.
• Supports development of creative content for application in marketing strategies, including thought leadership content and communication of subject matter expertise, using established parameters
• Tracks budget for marketing programs, and raises awareness when programs are not on track against budget
• Analyzes campaign performance using specified measures and evaluation metrics
• Prepares marketing solution presentations using specified parameters
• Provides any necessary clarifications to vendors (e.g., agencies, film production, etc.)

This position will also partner with regional partners from both Product and Marketing to deliver solutions across the globe. The Senior Specialist will report to the Manager of Bill Pay & Emerging Payments Tech Product Marketing.

All About You

The ideal candidate for this position has:
• Passion for emerging payments technology (e.g. crytpo / blockhain, NFTs, the metaverse, open banking, future of payments tech applications)
• Demonstrated success in translating complex product and/or technical information into clear customer narratives
• Strong skills and experience in B2B product marketing, communications both written and oral
• Exposure to product management and product development, and experience in bringing new solutions and ideas to life from creation to execution
• Experience developing presentations by creating content and articulating a story with a clear point of view
• Preferred: Expertise in payment industry, merchant or acquirer, payment facilitator, fintech companies, developers, and modern solutions like cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and open banking
• Perspective to always look for potential solutions to solve problems - Identify areas where resources fall short of needs and provide thoughtful and sustainable solutions to benefit the team
• Strategic mindset with ability to make logical decisions in challenging, ambiguous situations
• Problem solver who uses data and insights combined with ingenuity to develop ideas and deliver solutions
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Passion for the customer and consumer experience
• Sensitivity for multi-cultural, diverse background
• Motivated self-driver, able to manage complex/multi-geography projects with a discipline for priority-setting and follow-through.
