Title and Summary
Senior Software Delivery Engineer Overview:SessionM, a Mastercard company, is looking for a Senior Software Delivery Engineer to work on our build pipeline creation and orchestration, source code repository service, security scanner tooling, and other aspects of CI/CD. The selected candidate will be actively involved in researching new technologies/tools that can be incorporated to improve the current system. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, and possesses an analytical mindset and good communication skills.
Role:
• Be part of the US-based team to architect and design new functionalities.
• Conduct code reviews, implement code scanning, and other standard development practices.
• Identify opportunities to elevate our team's services and streamline software delivery.
• Develop new and maintain existing CI/CD processes.
• Automate and simplify all aspects of software delivery, actively evangelizing the need to automate and simplify where needed.
• Provide guidance on new technologies to influence the direction of automation.
• Serve as a point of contact for CI/CD incidents during US office hours.
• Communicate and work together with the European part of the team, Prague-based.
All About You
• Proficiency in Linux and scripting languages like Python or Shell.
• Experience with GitLab administration (or similar platforms like GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Deep understanding of CI/CD processes and hands-on automation experience.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code principles and tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or AWS CDK.
• Experience with AWS services like EC2, ECS, S3, and Lambdas.
• Expertise in Docker and containerization technologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desirable/Additional Knowledge:
• Familiarity with tools like Black Duck and Checkmarx.
• Experience with container security scanning.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS.
