Senior Risk Analyst Main Purpose of Role
Overview
Mastercard's European Open Banking Resilience team's role includes managing and delivering upon key oversight, advisory and control execution, to ensure the resilience of our products and services. This position will play a key role in supporting the initiatives taken by the Open Banking team, to ensure the resilience of the business and to meet regulatory requirements from DORA. This position will report to the Head of 1st line Risk & Resilience in the Open Banking Team.

The Role
Open Banking is a worldwide phenomenon, gathering pace over the recent years and set to transform many aspects of financial services as well as adjacent services. Mastercard has built a suite of Open Banking Solutions designed to connect, enable and safeguard the Open Banking ecosystem and are now in the process of bringing new solutions to market, commercialising and enhancing them. There are a number of markets already live with various forms of open banking offerings and other markets where Open Banking is at earlier stages of development.

The Regulatory Compliance Officer, will be responsible for managing, strengthening, extending and sustaining a successful regulatory compliance program particularly in relation to the Open Banking business in Europe. Relevant to this will be regulatory oversight and supervision at national level and how this fits with Mastercard's broader pattern of regulation as a global business. The successful candidate will support regulatory compliance activities for Mastercard open banking operations in Denmark, the United Kingdom and other countries as needed. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with his / her Mastercard colleagues within the domestic business and within the global structure including, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Public Policy, Privacy/Data Usage, Global Ethics and Compliance and Internal Audit.
Key Accountabilities of the Role
• Support the Head of 1st line Risk & Resilience in executing the Open Banking Resilience strategy
• Support the implementation, update and maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Framework, specifically focused on 1st line risk management activities
• Produce and maintain policies, procedures, tools and templates to ensure the effectiveness of the Enterprise Risk Framework
• Act as project manager in projects owned by the 1st line Risk & Resilience team, specifically related to EU regulation such as DORA
• Support the design and implementation the 1st line control assurance activity planning, with a view to overseeing effectiveness of controls owned by the business as stipulated in the Enterprise Risk Policy
• Execute control assurance activities according to planning, including RCSA´s, Risk Assessments, Security Maturity Assessment etc.
• Support the design and implementation of remediation plans following risk identification
• Maintain risk and control registers for operational risks and security risks as applicable
• Facilitate the statutory ICT Operational risk assessment, by means of periodically reviewing scenarios and control effectiveness of the risks applicable to the business
• Perform event driven risk assessments such as incident assessments, root cause assessments and other ad-hoc assessments as required by the business
• Perform other policy driven risk & security assessments related to change management, network, product design etc.
• Regularly engage with Corporate functions within Technology Risk Management, Corporate Security and other similar control functions to maintain a solid working relationship within the group, and to stay abreast with upcoming changes within the group that might have an impact to our regulated businesses
• Act as an SME in different projects, supporting business functions and projects with expertise and risk oversight on specific topics related to operational risk and / or security
Key Competencies

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as IT, Information Security, Risk Management or Business
• Experience working with risk management in a EU based financial institution
• Ability to assess the impact from policy requirements and develop practical operational procedures to ensure ongoing resilience of the business
• Experience of executing Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks, including design, implementation, and oversight of controls related to operational risk and security
• Critical problem-solving ability
