Title and Summary

Senior Reliability Engineer Overview
The Enterprise Monitoring team is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to drive our Application Performance Monitoring and Digital Experience Monitoring strategy forward, by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about Site Reliability Engineering, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and able to maintain a dual focus on strategic projects and real-time operational needs.

Role
In this position, you will:

• Evaluate new product capabilities, create detailed implementation plans, and perform deployments
• Create detailed technical documentation and provide day-to-day usage and configuration support for internal customers
• Partner closely with technical leads to provide training to other engineers as needed
• Discuss overall strategy and specific needs with internal customers and management

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Advanced expertise in Application Performance Monitoring using Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, and/or comparable platforms
• Expertise in User Experience Monitoring via synthetic tests and/or real user session instrumentation
• Experience integrating APM and UEM tools with a deployment pipeline (for agent deployments and/or monitoring configuration deployments)
• Familiarity with application deployment and monitoring on Kubernetes, Docker and/or PCF
• Familiarity with foundational web concepts such as HTML, JS, CSS, and DOM objects
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly and succinctly
• Software development experience with Java, Python, Chef cookbooks (Ruby) and/or Go preferred
• Familiarity with IBM MQ, Oracle, MongoDB, Chef and/or Redis a plus
• Specific familiarity with Dynatrace a plus

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
