Title and Summary

Senior Analyst, Tax Indirect tax analyst
Location: Gurgaon, India
Overview
The successful candidate will report to the indirect tax VP and will provide support to the Mastercard tax team with respect to European indirect tax compliance matters. The successful candidate will take primary responsibility for the timely and accurate submission of indirect tax returns and support the regional and global tax teams to ensure that tax risks are well managed in a region with different tax systems. Diverse countries are in scope from Europe region.

Role
Key Responsibilities are:
• ensure that indirect tax returns are prepared on compliant and timely way;
• key contact person to interact with the outsourcing indirect tax compliance providers;
• working with Controllership in order to reconcile the indirect tax returns with the indirect tax accounts;
• assistance during indirect tax audits;
• ensure that robust indirect tax compliance processes are in place;
• continuous interaction with the financial systems team and with our indirect tax technology manager in order to ensure that the ERP system (Oracle) is properly set up from indirect and direct tax perspective;
• provide support to the Indirect tax team in conducting indirect tax trainings addressed to diverse groups within Mastercard's Shared Services Center;
• provide support in gathering adequate and accurate data for analysis and decision making;
• managing the invoicing process of external advisors.

About You
• Tax experience in public accounting and industry;
• Professional certification (CPA) preferred;
• Competent in Microsoft office software;
• Fast learner and ability to work independently;
• Strong analytical and organizational skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Positive working attitude;
• Reliable and can be depended on to complete tasks on a timely basis;
