Title and Summary

Senior Analyst, Sustainability Accounting Overview:

The Senior Analyst, Sustainability Accounting, will play a crucial role in our sustainability initiatives by ensuring accurate and transparent reporting of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing financial and non-financial data, and preparing reports to support our commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.

Role:

1. ESG Data Collection and Analysis:

•Collect and analyze data related to environmental, social, and governance performance metrics.
•Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant information and ensure data accuracy.

2. Financial Reporting:
•Integrate sustainability metrics into financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, SEC).
•Assist in the preparation of sustainability disclosures for regulatory filings.

3. Performance Measurement:
•Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the company's sustainability performance.
•Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:
•Work with internal and external stakeholders to address inquiries related to sustainability performance and reporting.
•Collaborate with sustainability teams to enhance stakeholder communication and engagement.

5.Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay informed about changes in sustainability reporting standards and regulations.
•Ensure the company's sustainability reporting aligns with evolving industry best practices.

All About You:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Prior experience in accounting, financial analysis, or sustainability reporting.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, SEC, GHG Protocol).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or sustainability-related certifications.
• Experience working with sustainability software and data management tools. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
