Title and Summary

Senior Analyst – Pricing & Interchange (SEA) • This role supports the Pricing and Interchange function for South East Asia (SEA), one of the largest Divisions in Asia Pacific. With geographical coverage of mature and developing economies, the role offers the incumbent diverse opportunities to support driving payment growth, using Pricing & Interchange, a strategically important lever of our business.

• Pricing & Interchange responsibilities would entail an understanding of payments business and associated revenues for various stakeholders, understanding of payment transaction flows, ability to build financial models, competence in data analysis to gather useful insights, and understanding of regulatory guidelines, among others. The role is expected to support the Sales and Business Development teams in winning market share and sustainable growth for Mastercard by developing as well as executing an optimized framework factoring in local market realities.

• A candidate high on energy with solid analytical skills, comfort with data/numbers, deep sense of accountability and ownership, strong execution focus, and a collaborative mindset, would be most likely to succeed in the role.

• This is an individual contributor role, reporting to Director – Strategy, Pricing & Interchange (SEA).

Role Overview
• Pricing Strategy & Analysis
• Develop and maintain pricing models for products and services across SEA markets.
• Conduct market level pricing analysis and benchmarking.
• Support development of pricing initiatives aligned with strategy and business plans.
• Interchange Management
• Monitor and analyze interchange fee structures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess interchange impacts on business performance.
• Provide insights and recommendations to optimize and enable payment flows.
• Geographical Coverage
• Serve as the pricing and interchange subject matter expert for SEA.
• Partner with country teams to tailor pricing initiatives to local market dynamics.
• Track and report on pricing and interchange trends and initiatives across SEA.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Work closely with Country, Divisional and Regional teams (Sales, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Product) to align pricing and interchange initiative development and execution.
• Prepare and present analytical findings to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in Banking, Payments, Business Analytics, Forecasting & Reporting would be desirable.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Must be able to integrate knowledge across disciplines, including sales, product, marketing, operations, and risk.

• Self-driven, organized and pro-active with strong influencing and negotiation skills
• Able to multi-task and work well in a small team leveraging colleagues' skills
• Commercially focused with good analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High proficiency in using analytical tools and applications, including MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across geographies.
• Collaborative and consultative approach; ability to partner well with regional and global teams
