Title and Summary

Security Network Lead Overview
• Responsible for the development, delivery, maintenance or monitoring of Network Security policies, standards, and best practices
• Responsible for every aspect of data safety in the network ensuring there are minimal risk to the organisation by adopting and integrating the right technology
• Implements risk management procedures, performs security threat assessments, manages user identities and access, and oversees compliance
• Work in partnership with the wider organisation such as security architect and technology to design and implement network security blueprint
• Build blueprints, models and strategies to strengthen the security of network
• Supports network security assessments and risk analysis, and makes recommendations to improve network security

Role
• Leads complex initiatives and projects
• Applies technical capabilities within own discipline to coach and develop junior employees
• Provides input into performance appraisal process for some junior employees or team members
• Liaises with business leaders to proactively identify the security impact of implementations across the organization
• Analyses security reporting and daily logs, seeking trends and identifying and implementing opportunities to improve systems, processes or protocols
• Establishes security procedures for products, applications, and platforms, and acts as a go-to technical resource for risky or unusual security or compliance matters
• Ensures periodic testing of the organisation's network and systems from a security point of view
• Oversees the maintenance of firewalls, VPNs, VLAN and so on
