Title and Summary
People and Capabilities (Benefit and Well-Being) Intern, Summer 2026 - Purchase, NY OverviewThe Employee Benefits Summer Intern will support the Benefits team on a variety of strategic and operational projects that help deliver high quality employee benefits experience. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the design, administration, communication, and governance of employee benefit programs, as well as the growing use of technology and AI in HR. The intern will gain practical experience working cross-functionally with HR, vendors, and internal stakeholders while developing skills applicable to a career in Human Resources, Total Rewards.
Role
• Assist with inventorying and cataloging employee benefit programs, including health and welfare, wellbeing, retirement, and other benefit offerings.
• Gather, organize, and validate benefit plan documents, summaries, and FAQs to support content development for an AI-enabled employee benefits chatbot.
• Support the documentation of benefit program processes and workflows to improve clarity, consistency, and efficiency of benefits administration.
• Partner with the Benefits team members to develop employee communication campaigns, including emails, intranet content, guides, and awareness materials to increase understanding and utilization of benefit offerings.
• Assist with benchmarking and research on benefit trends, innovative offerings, and best practices in the employee benefits and wellbeing space.
• Support data review and reporting, such as enrollment trends, participation metrics, or employee feedback related to benefits programs.
• Participate in team meetings, vendor calls, and project planning sessions to gain exposure to benefits governance and decision-making.
• Help test and refine digital benefits tools, including chatbot responses and self-service resources, from an employee user perspective.
• Contribute to standardization efforts across regions by helping identify gaps, inconsistencies, or opportunities for simplification.
• Shadow benefits team members to learn about vendor management, compliance considerations, and plan design decisions.
• Support special projects related to wellbeing initiatives, employee experience improvements, or process optimization.
• Gain exposure to how benefits intersect with payroll, leave management, HRIS systems, and compliance requirements.
All About You
You are a proactive, detail-oriented student with a strong interest in HR, employee benefits, or related business disciplines. You enjoy analyzing information, asking thoughtful questions, and working collaboratively to solve problems. You are comfortable navigating new tools and technology and are eager to learn how benefit programs support the employee experience.

Program Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program graduating between Winter 2027 to Spring 2028
Ability to partner across the organization
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PPT) preferred
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation: $25- $29/hr
