The Technical Architect is a key partner to solutions architects, account managers, products specialists and and Customer Delivery units, providing deep technical and operational expertise in the interaction with Client's Operations, IT and business' teams during the period of “pre-sale and post-sale/contracting stages”, ensuring an effective and coordinated transition/collaboration with delivery areas during implementation process.
Provides deep expertise on technical solution architecture to ensure feasibility of bespoke implementation. Understands details of proposed bundles & solutions to manage technical implications and to assess the detail of how they can be implemented with clients.

Solutions Architect Reports to Solutions Architect Lead of SouthLAC.

Role & Key Responsibilities Description

• Respond and support with technical related questions on Mastercard's solutions and products and solutions that involve third party technical services/offerings.
• Mapping requeriments specifications and interactions with client's front end /middleware / back office, including commonly used core banking systems.
• Assess technical options for connectivity/channel integration, including the formats/standards supported in the designed solutions.
• Address technical product issues raised by the client during pre-sale or post-sale, with regional and global product teams.
• Deliver product demos, documentation, templates and best practice information to the client.
• Closely coordinate with product specialists to understand product functional capabilities and technical integration requirements
• Able to architect technical solutions by combining compliance requirements, client´s technical constrains and needs, and Mastercard's technical capababilities.
• Diagram and describe customer internal operational and technical flows and produce well defined technical architecture and implementation plan deliverables.
• Manage handover to the implementation teams of Mastercard and clients to ensure that the right technical integration roadmap has been laid out.
• Share best practices with solution architects community.

All about You
• More than 3 years' experience in technical support roles, implementation or any combination of roles working on delivering, training and support APIs or similar technical services.
• Ability to engage quickly with customers, demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in a highly technical environment.
• Deep knowledge of mapping technical architectures, including interfaces and protocols.
• Good understanding of Mastercard products and services.
• Deep knowledge of types of architecture in terms of solution integration (middle layer), For example, service oriented architecture (SOA), event oriented architectures, etc.
• Deep knowledge on types of connectivity alternatives ( APIs, Web Services, etc).
• Ability to understand in depth, analyze, and select current and emerging technologies like events and some protocols like OAuth or mtls.
• Be curious about competitive offerings and technology trends.
• Ability to quickly identify and recommend technical options during building sessions both internal and with the technical teams of the clients.
• Full English and Spanish skills required.
