Title and Summary

Manager, Specialist Sales, Merchant Cloud Overview

Mastercard Merchant Cloud and Acceptance represent core strategic priorities for the Asia Pacific region. Our mission is to empower acquirers, merchants, payment service providers (PSPs), and payment facilitators by delivering seamless, best-in-class experiences across both digital and in-person commerce. We aim to position Mastercard Merchant Cloud as the leading platform for acceptance.
As an integral part of Mastercard's regional growth strategy, this role will support sales initiatives across Asia Pacific. Key responsibilities include conducting market research and benchmarking, contributing to go-to-market planning, supporting solution commercialization, and engaging in client-related activities. The individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Operations, Delivery, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and other internal partners—to drive execution and deliver strategic outcomes.

Role
Develop deep market expertise by understanding regional strategies, industry trends, and evolving customer needs within the Merchant Cloud and Acceptance ecosystem, including
acquirers, merchants, payment service providers (PSPs), and payment facilitators.
Drive pipeline development for Merchant Cloud across Asia Pacific by identifying opportunities in partnership with account management, market development, and Customer Solution Center teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally to design and execute go-to-market strategies, leveraging data-driven insights and market trend analysis.
Shape compelling value propositions informed by customer research and insights, ensuring Mastercard's differentiation in the Merchant Cloud and Acceptance space.
Analyze client trends and develop reports and dashboards to provide visibility and support strategic decision-making.

All About You

Prior experience in the payments in APAC within e-commerce, or acceptance services industry—ideally within a large PSP, acquirer, or similar organization.
Experience working on sales and proposition launches in multiple markets
Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with financial data and performance metrics.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills with ability to build credibility with key stakeholders across multiple levels - internally and externally
Entrepreneurial spirit that can bring new ideas and wants to make an impact
Ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail.
Take ownerships and operates with little supervision
