Title and Summary

Manager, People Business Partner Overview

Mastercard is seeking a dynamic and experienced People Business Partner (PBP) Manager to support our teams across Australia and New Zealand. This role is responsible for driving strategic human resources initiatives, partnering closely with business leaders to deliver impactful HR solutions that enable business success. You will play a key role in shaping our people strategy, implementing global programs locally, and ensuring a best-in-class employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, fostering strong partnerships and guiding people-related decision-making.
- Lead the implementation of HR strategies and change initiatives aligned to business goals.
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence (COEs), the Global Business Services Center (GBSC), and other PBPs to ensure consistent and effective execution of HR programs.
- Support cultural transformation, leadership development, succession planning, and performance management.
- Drive local delivery of global talent and rewards strategies, ensuring alignment with market practices and regulatory compliance.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations, talent management, recruitment, total rewards, and organizational development.
- Monitor and analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and inform strategic recommendations.
- Lead workforce planning efforts, including staffing forecasts, and maintain market competitiveness in talent practices.

Your Experience & Expertise

- Proven track record of driving strategic talent initiatives and responding to evolving business needs.
- In-depth understanding of HR operations and employment law within Australia and New Zealand.
- Demonstrated success in advising and coaching senior leaders on people matters and local market dynamics.
- Strong collaboration experience with COEs and global HR teams to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions.
- Capable of influencing and driving change across multiple stakeholder groups in a matrixed environment.
