Overview

Mastercard Switching Services are an independent business unit within Mastercard Europe SA that was created in response to the separation requirement introduced by the EU Interchange Fee Regulation.
The Manager Franchise Business Partner will be a member of the EEA Switch team as well as a member of the Global Franchise team.
The successful candidate will be responsible to drive the Franchise response to regulatory requirements (a.o. the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructure -PFMI's) and ongoing oversight imposed on Mastercard in Europe by various regulatory bodies (European Central Bank, Bank of England, NBB, DNB, …).

Role

The Manager Franchise will assist the Vice President-Franchise Officer of the Mastercard Switching Organization to meet all of the regulatory requirements resulting from the increased oversight as ‘Systemically Important Processing Entity” (by the ECB, BoE, DNB, BNB, ...).

Essential responsibilities in this role include:
• Leveraging existing and obtained understanding of the key standards and policies to frame responses to PFMI's and other regulatory requirements;
• Take ownership for reporting obligations;
• Collaborate with the cross-functional team established to deliver the supervisory expectations;
• Build and maintain partnership with supporting business units.
• Develop new controls and processes to meet additional regulatory expectations such as reporting, meetings, risk mitigation, …;
• Successfully and independently resolved complex requests or issues by using technology
• Successfully identify opportunities to improve workstreams by analyzing data or feedback
• Constantly enhance payments industry expertise and understanding of European regulatory landscape and its impact on authorization, clearing and settlement services;

All About You

Having obtained a degree in Economics or Law, be prepared to demonstrate with positive self-confidence:
• That you have a proactive, time sensitive, results driven approach in carrying out all duties, obligations and responsibilities
• Your ability to independently manage workloads involving tasks of varying priority and complexity;
• Your excellent verbal, written and presentation skills along with solid project management credentials;
• Earlier successes building relationships and delivering results with global, multi-cultural and remote project teams;
• Being practical, but also creative and innovative;
• That you are able to identify, investigate, and manage potential risks or issues through resolution;
• Your strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
• Your strong willingness to integrate into Switching Services both from a professional but also interpersonal point of view;
