Title and Summary

Manager, Agility Enablement Mastercard has been driving innovation in real-time payments (RTP) on a global scale for decades, collaborating with governments and other partners on four continents to power instant payments. We are building the next generation of real-time payments with interoperability paramount, designed to process multi-currency transactions, create seamless cross-border payments, and make it easier to enable transactions between traditional bank accounts and digital current account.

RTP International is seeking a results-oriented Manager of Agility Enablement who is passionate about driving the adoption and evolution of agile practices across multiple teams.

The Manager of Agility Enablement plays a vital role in facilitating agile maturity growth by bringing best practice and applying it to our world. This role will support teams and leaders through coaching, training, and tool optimisation, ensuring continuous improvement and consistent, effective ways of working.

Key Responsibilities
Agility Enablement & Maturity
• Support the rollout and adoption of the Agility Maturity Model, helping teams to evaluate current state, define improvement actions and evolve their ways of working.
• Help teams adopt agile delivery playbooks, frameworks, and practical tools to enhance collaboration and delivery flow.
• Facilitate and participate in agile ceremonies and events as needed, especially during times of change or transition.
• Support internal communication efforts that promote agile transformation progress, education, and engagement.
• Partner with teams to remove systemic blockers and streamline ways of working.
• Collaborate wider teams across Mastercard to learn and share best practice.

Coaching & Training
• Coach teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners in applying RTP International agile principles and practices.
• Co-develop and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs to build agile capabilities at scale.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of internal learning paths and communities of practice.

Metrics, Data Quality & Reporting
• Track and interpret key agile delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and throughput to identify performance trends.
• Promote consistent use of Aha! and Jira across teams and support teams in maintaining data quality and reporting standards.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation
• Support retrospectives, team health checks, and process improvement workshops.
• Serve as a change agent and internal consultant to build a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, helping teams to adopt lightweight approaches to testing new ideas.
• Capture and share learnings, success stories, and best practices to reinforce continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations in agile practices and bring thought leadership to the organization.

Qualifications and experience
Required:
• Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, ICAgile Coach).
• In depth understanding and experience of agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar.
• Proven experience leading agile assessments and transformations in scaled agile environments across multiple teams or departments.
• Experience in leadership or coaching role focused on agile delivery or transformation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Hands-on experience with Aha!, Jira, or similar tools for agile planning and delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change and influence without authority.
• Payments industry experience preferred but not essential.
