Position Overview:

The Financial Services arm of Mastercard's Global Business Service Center (GBSC) is tasked with the mission to add value by delivering operational excellence, enhanced customer experiences, and focused business results. The Statutory COE will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in the preparation of financial statements, coordination with auditors, closure of statutory audits, and implementation of audit findings across our entities worldwide.
The Manager, Accounting of the Statutory COE will be a key leadership role responsible for managing the end-to-end statutory reporting process, fostering relationships with external auditors, and supporting the controllership team in various reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in statutory reporting, a proven track record of successfully closing audits, and the ability to drive process improvements.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the end-to-end statutory reporting process for entities across the globe.
• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with local statutory requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating audit activities and providing necessary documentation.
• Manage the statutory audit process, ensuring timely and successful closure, and addressing audit queries and recommendations.
• Work closely with controllership and finance teams to implement audit findings and recommendations.
• Drive process improvements based on audit insights to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with regional finance teams to understand local statutory nuances.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure consistency and alignment with global statutory reporting standards.
• Build and lead a high-performing Statutory COE team, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance the team's technical and soft skills.

All About You:

• Minimum of [8] years of experience in a senior leadership role within statutory reporting, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Strong technical expertise in global statutory reporting standards and regulations.
• Experience with managing multi-GAAPs of European entities.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and closing statutory audits for complex entities.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with auditors, cross-functional teams, and leadership.
