Title and Summary

Lead Software Engineer - Testing - Performance Engineer (Jmeter) Overview:

As a Platform Engineer you will work with your product team to develop, deploy, operate and maintain security software solutions from inception to production. Our leading-edge solutions are integrated across the enterprise and provide automated, flexible and compliant authorization methods to accelerate migration, deployment and operation of applications in the public cloud. This is a fast-paced environment providing rapid delivery for our cross-market partners. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment that values speed and quality, with a strong desire to drive change as we continue on our agile transformational journey.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop applications with focus on performance, scalability, and reusability.
• Rapidly implement solutions for production issues.
• Design and develop medium sized applications with little direction.
• Setup and review SLAs for Production applications and how they can be
mirrored in an NFT environment and measure against those defined SLAs
• Analyze and provide performance recommendations on breached SLAs to the
Function Heads.
• Manage governance of performance to SLAs and ensure all systems are
operating within the defined SLAs.
• Develop strategies to pro-actively alert on breached SLAs.
• Architect and track performance improvement actions to closure.
• Develop Performance Testing strategy for implementation with a focus on
automated testing
• Understand workload analysis and impact on critical business processes,
forecasting analysis for capacity and growth
• Lead Root Cause Analysis of production incidents and come up with short,
medium and long term fixes as needed

All About You

10 plus years of experience as a performance engineer .
1. Ability to create, execute and maintain scripts in jmeter.
2. Understand the work loads - ex: how to perform log file analysis, run queries and monitor load during performance testing .
3. Be able to understand user behavior and scenarios during peak and off peak time's and stimulate them in performance environments .
4. Work closely with application development, Architecture, Infrastructure and Engineering teams for test and data planning, analysis required, and for defining success criteria.
5. Capable of handling projects end to end individually which involves activities like- requirement gathering, designing scenario, execution & analysis of diff. tests and reporting results with recommendations.
6. Prepare performance Test Strategy, Test plan, Test closure report, workload model for web application, API, etc.
7. Good experience in analyzing system architecture using shared resources, CPU, memory, storage, networks .
8. Able to design load tests by understanding the production work loads.
Working experience with APM tools like - Appdynamics, dynatrace etc.
9. Java profiling experience- heap and thread dump analysis is desirable .
10. Able to work in flexible shifts.
