Title and Summary

Lead Product Manager- Technical Overview
Mastercard Move is our comprehensive portfolio of money movement capabilities, powering a wide range of payment experiences—from individual transfers to large-scale disbursements. This includes Mastercard Send services, which enable secure, near-instant delivery of funds across card rails. We support diverse use cases such as P2P, B2B, remittances, disbursements, and merchant payments. Our mission is to make sending money safe, simple, and fast.

The Role:
As Lead Product Manager – Technical, you will drive the strategy, development, and delivery of platform capabilities and infrastructure services that support Mastercard Send and related products. You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions are competitive, scalable, and aligned with market needs.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership
• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for technical platforms and back-office batch processes integrated with transactional APIs.
• Act as product owner for engineering teams, writing and prioritizing epics, features, and user stories with strong technical context in reconciliation and reporting.
• Ensure backlog grooming, sprint planning, and delivery align with strategic objectives.

Technical Leadership
• Partner with architects and engineers to validate feasibility, scalability, and security of solutions.
• Translate business objectives into clear, measurable product initiatives.
• Manage documentation of system/platform functionality to ensure consistent usage.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with engineering, SRE, architecture, and design teams to deliver high-quality, scalable products.
• Collaborate with regional product managers and business stakeholders to align technical initiatives with customer and market needs.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on platform capabilities, integration, and system behaviors.

Execution & Delivery
• Define success metrics, KPIs, and acceptance criteria for technical initiatives.
• Track and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies across teams and leadership.
• Resolve cross-functional blockers and drive timely delivery.

Data & Insights
• Leverage data to inform prioritization and design decisions.
• Partner with analytics teams to ensure data flows, monitoring, and insights are embedded in product delivery.
• Build feedback loops from production usage to continuously improve platform capabilities.

Operational Excellence
• Develop and manage operational processes for market deployments, customer implementations, and platform management.
• Capture product capabilities in customer-facing implementation guides.
• Provide reporting and insights on system performance for management review.

All About You
• Deep understanding of Mastercard's authorization, clearing, and settlement systems (preferred).
• Added advantage if you have a deep understanding on reconciliation processes with clearing, billing etc.
• Strong technical and product background with the ability to engage engineering teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in global payments, especially in money transfer and remittances.
• Proven leadership with a bias for action, accountability, and strategic execution.
• Skilled in agile product development, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Exceptional communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and under pressure.
• Experience managing services that span multiple products and geographies.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.

Pay Ranges

O'Fallon, Missouri: $119,000 - $190,000 USD
