Director, Strategy & Operations

Overview


The US Strategy & Operations team is a high performing group of strategy and operations professionals that help drive growth and efficiency in the US region. The Director, US Strategy & Operations, will work collaboratively across the region and with our product and services organizations to drive alignment, execute new initiatives and develop strategies to grow our US business. This position will also help drive our global merchant coordination and growth by helping coordinate the teams, compile global strategies, and conduct analyses to record progress in the area. The Director will report to the Senior Vice President, US Strategy & Operations, and work in alignment with multiple areas outside the US region including the Services and Product organizations.



Manage and oversee implementation of initiatives set by the Co-Presidents of the US Region

Go-to resource for regional teams to help with strategic planning including reaching services goals, optimizing resources, and helping to resolve broader operational issues

Share data, information, and best practices across the US region to advance efficiency and performance

Coordinate our global merchant teams across the regions to help optimize results and ensure leadership are aware of global impacts

Contribute to quarterly operating reviews, monthly reporting and other

Lead Point of Interaction (POI) conference



All About You:

Strategic planner with the ability to work cross functionally

Self-starter with the ability to develop hypotheses, test them and turn them into actionable results

Strong inter-personal skills with ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate internally and externally, at all organizational levels

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable with ambiguity and able to flex as needed in a dynamic working environment. Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse set of competing needs.

Obsessive attention to detail with a strong affinity for organization and process.

Experienced project manager able to manage multiple projects at once

Ability to handle the details while understanding the bigger picture

Experience in a corporate environment interfacing with senior and executive level management and senior customers.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
