Director, Specialist Sales, Mastercard Identity (Southwestern Europe) Services is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. We are seeking a high-performing Specialist Sales Director to drive new business for Mastercard Identity across Southwestern Europe. This is a hunter-oriented role responsible for acquiring strategic clients, including acquirers, large financial institutions, and major e-commerce organizations.
Role:
• Drive net new business across Southwestern Europe, focusing on high-value opportunities.
• Engage with internal teams, including Services Business Leads, and Product Specialists, to deliver tailored, consultative solutions.
• Understand customers' technical, operational, and business needs to create trust and demonstrate measurable value.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships, securing sponsorship and negotiating commercial terms up to the C-level.
• Develop a strong regional presence, shaping Mastercard Identity's go-to-market strategy in Western Europe.
• Work with strategic, high-profile clients, influencing their identity, fraud, and risk management strategies.
• Make a direct impact on a growing team, contributing to strategic projects and organizational growth.
• Operate in a fast-evolving, high-growth market, leveraging opportunities to expand Mastercard Identity's footprint and market leadership.
All About You:
• Extensive experience in direct enterprise sales, ideally in identity, fraud, risk, or payments, with a proven background in consultative SaaS solution selling to large enterprises. Knowledge around FI and payments is desirable.
• Demonstrate a strong track record of generating net new business, successfully navigating long sales cycles (6–12 months), and consistently achieving ambitious quotas.
• Ability to build and sustain executive-level relationships while effectively using internal and external networks to accelerate opportunities.
• Communicate effectively in English is a must, with Spanish or Italian considered a strong plus, and apply excellent negotiation, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
• Adapt quickly to changing market dynamics with an agile, resilient, and customer-focused mindset.
• Utilize tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or demonstrate the ability to learn them rapidly.
• Ability to travel ~ 30% of the time.
