The Opportunity: Lead Regional Sales Growth.
We are seeking a Director, Specialist Sales to spearhead business development and new client acquisition across Chile, Peru, and Bolivia for Mastercard Move. This is a hunter-focused role, ideal for a senior sales leader with a deep understanding of cross-border payments, a robust network within the Chilean banking and financial ecosystem, and a strong track record of driving B2B commercial growth.
You will be responsible for identifying key opportunities, engaging with senior decision-makers at banks, fintechs, payment processors, and other financial players, and driving the expansion of Mastercard Move solutions across the region.
Key Responsibilities
• Sales Leadership & Strategic Business Development
Lead the development of new business opportunities, securing strategic partnerships across financial institutions and fintechs in Chile, Peru, and Bolivia.
• Cross-Border Payments Focus
Champion Mastercard Move's cross-border value proposition—including remittances, B2B transfers, disbursements, and account-to-account payments—with tailored strategies for each market.
• Regional Go-to-Market Execution
Build and execute localized go-to-market plans to drive adoption of Mastercard Move solutions, collaborating with marketing, product, and operations teams.
• Executive Relationship Building
Engage with decision-makers, and influencers across the banking and payments landscape, positioning Mastercard as a trusted growth partner.
• Pipeline & Forecast Management
Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting, reporting, and deal progression oversight.
• Deal Structuring & Negotiation
Lead end-to-end commercial discussions, including pricing, proposals, contracts, and implementation planning.
• Market Intelligence
Provide insights on regional trends, competitor activities, regulatory shifts, and client needs to shape product roadmaps and commercial strategies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with global and regional product, legal, operations, and marketing teams to ensure deal success and client satisfaction.
About You:
• Senior Sales Leader: 8+ years of experience in business development or enterprise sales roles, ideally within the payments, fintech, or financial services industry.
• Cross-Border Payments Expertise: Deep understanding of international payment flows, FX, regulatory considerations, and money movement infrastructure.
• Established Banking Network: Strong professional relationships within the Chilean financial sector; connections in Peru and Bolivia are a plus.
• Commercially Driven: Demonstrated ability to build and close strategic, high-value deals and meet or exceed ambitious sales targets.
• Strategic & Analytical: Comfortable with consultative selling, business case development, and solution positioning in complex sales environments.
• Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Regional Experience: Deep familiarity with the business and regulatory landscapes in Chile; knowledge of Peru and Bolivia is highly desirable.
