Title and Summary
Director, Solutions Architect The Customer Solutions Center sits at the intersection of product, services, marketing and, most importantly, our customers and prospects. We have a front-row seat for how our capabilities are driving impact in the industry. From our core products that are at the heart of everyday commerce to our newest solutions in digital, security, networks and services, Customer Solutions Architects play a vital role in driving influence and revenue for Mastercard.We're looking for a Customer Solutions Architect, Director who doesn't just understand technology but can translate it into business impact. Someone who can walk into a room of C-level executives and engineers and speak both languages fluently. Someone who can architect not just systems, but outcomes. The role will focus on growing and developing Mastercard's Products and Solutions in Spain by closely working with Account Managers and Business Development teams to deepen the cooperation Mastercard has with existing and new customers by tapping into new opportunities and finding new partners to grow and diversify our business.
Role
In this client-facing position, you will:
• Act as the market expert on MasterCard products, benefits and solutions
• Work together with the Account Manager and the Business Development team in Spain to present Mastercard products, including working with prospects on gap analysis and development of appropriate solution
• Support go-to-market strategy, collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to successfully execute and manage key strategic initiatives
• Evaluate business cases, new business models, agreements and partnerships to improve solution's footprint and competitiveness
• Lead market analysis and recommend ways to leverage market analysis to inform product and go-to-market strategies
• Work with various stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation.
• Take responsibility for driving new product revenue
• Create management presentation and view of the development status
• Partner with regional business development head and other stakeholders in the region to identify business opportunities, shortlist and select qualified prospects and deliver sales targets
• Recommend needs-based solutions in coordination with Product, Innovation, Services and Marketing
• Support RFP responses / creation of value propositions for accounts opportunities
• Provide input to the product/solution groups and segment leads to enhance their product/solution and segment strategy to meet the needs of the segment
All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
• Have extensive experience executing business development across different payment types, technologies, and customer segments
• Have experience executing strategies into clear action plans
• Have excellent Relationship Management skills
• Have experience managing senior-level relationship
• Deep knowledge of Payment Solutions and the Spanish payment ecosystem
• Understanding of technical basics, APIs, process flows
• Ability to comprehend the business, market context and customer needs to drive and architect integrated and innovative solutions
Experiences and other requirements:
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills
• A problem solver, keen to understand customer challenges – inquisitive, and able to simplify complexity
• Outstanding ability to work collaboratively and deliver results in a highly cross-functional environment
• High self-motivation and ability to work autonomously; “can do” attitude; strong customer and results orientation
• Proven experience managing senior level relationship
• Fluency in Spanish and English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of card payment and/or Mastercard payment solutions is a plus
• Master degree /Engineering or Business School /MBA
