Title and Summary
Director, Product Management Director of Product ManagementOverview
We are looking for a Director of Product to lead the future of Product Discovery across our platform—owning the vision, strategy, and discovery processes behind how (mainly, but not only) ecommerce users find, explore, and engage with the right products. In this role, you'll shape the intelligence that powers our ecosystem: the ranking models behind recommendations, the search systems that surface relevance, and the AI-driven assistant that redefines how users discover through natural language.
Role
As Director of Product, you will:
• Lead and develop a high performing team of Product Managers, providing coaching, direction, and clarity to ensure they run effective discovery, make strong decisions, and grow in their craft.
• Own the product discovery strategy for Recommendations, Search, and Product Discovery via GenAI Assistants.
• Define the long term vision and roadmap for intelligence driven user experiences.
• Partner closely with engineering, data science, design, research, and business teams to explore, validate, and shape opportunities.
• Lead structured discovery work: problem framing, hypothesis development, user research, experiments, and rapid validation cycles.
• Evaluate and prioritize opportunities using data, customer insights, technical feasibility, and business impact.
• Influence cross functional planning and ensure discovery outputs translate into actionable product direction.
• Establish discovery frameworks, success metrics, and repeatable processes for evaluating product bets.
• Stay ahead of trends in AI driven discovery, search optimization, ranking models, LLM powered interfaces, and personalization systems.
All About You
• Proven ability to lead end to end product discovery for complex, ambiguous problem spaces.
• Strong experience in Recommendations, Search, AI driven UX, or related discovery heavy domains.
• Ability to synthesize customer signals, data insights, competitive landscape, and technical constraints into clear product direction.
• Excellent communication skills—comfortable influencing engineers, executives, and cross functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience defining and tracking discovery success metrics.
• Skilled at breaking down strategic themes into testable hypotheses and validating them through research and experimentation.
• Comfortable working with data science teams, ML/AI concepts, and ranking or relevance systems.
• Experience driving strategy for multi team or platform level initiatives.
Nice to Have
• Experience with GenAI interfaces, conversational assistants, semantic search, or LLM driven user experiences.
• Background working with recommendations engines, ranking models, or taxonomy/search optimization.
• Exposure to experimentation platforms, personalization engines, or user intent modeling.
• Technical fluency—able to collaborate effectively with engineering and data teams.
• Experience in high scale consumer or enterprise platforms with complex discovery needs.
