Overview

This is not a typical Director role; it's an opportunity to help build something new. As part of Mastercard's emerging AI Consulting team, you will operate at the intersection of customer experience, design, and innovation, shaping how we bring AI-powered solutions to life for clients worldwide.

We're looking for a visionary design leader who thrives in ambiguity, embraces a startup mindset, and is passionate about creating experiences that inspire and deliver impact. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on design expertise, translating complex ideas into compelling narratives and world-class visual outputs that resonate with senior stakeholders.

This is a chance to define the playbook, not follow one. You'll have the freedom to experiment, the responsibility to deliver, and the mandate to create design standards that scale globally, while influencing how Mastercard reimagines customer engagement through AI.

A. Customer Experience Leadership

Design AI Product Journeys: Shape customer experiences that transform how clients engage with Mastercard. Use insights and experimentation to eliminate friction and create differentiated value.

Create High-Impact Assets: Develop presentations, executive briefings, and storytelling materials that simplify complexity and engage senior audiences.

Establish Scalable Design Standards: Build frameworks, templates, and guidelines that enable consistency and quality across global teams.

C. Innovation & Operational Excellence

Leverage Advanced Tools: Use platforms like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, and PowerPoint to deliver world-class outputs. Stay ahead of emerging design technologies and trends.

Drive Automation: Introduce AI-driven workflows to accelerate production and improve efficiency.

Experiment & Iterate: Foster a culture of test-and-learn, using prototypes and pilots to validate ideas quickly.

D. Leadership & Collaboration

Partner Across Functions: Work closely with Consulting, Product, and Technology teams to align design with business objectives.
