Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.

Overview
Mastercard Foundry is the innovation engine of Mastercard and a hub for new product development. We do this by driving product innovation based on emerging consumer and ecosystem partner behaviors, and new technologies and interfaces. At the same time, we stay rooted and focused on enhancing and driving new use cases for existing solutions and platforms. We also focus on building revenue generating ecosystems and flywheels that can be standalone in adjacent segments and markets. Examples of focus areas include Consumer value propositions, Digital payments, Tokenization / Privacy enhancing technologies, Payment Acceptance and Processing, and applications of Artificial Intelligence.

The Director, Product Innovation Foundry will be a critical driver of product strategy across the Core Payments portfolio of new products at Mastercard. The role will focus on identification of new digital products, services and solutions that differentiate and grow Mastercard's Core Payments business. Responsibilities will include driving new product strategy, cross-portfolio narrative, and selective identification, testing and launch of new products and ventures that drive significant in year revenue and strategic differentiation for Mastercard. In addition, the role will support identification and partnerships with ecosystem partners (e.g., banks, merchants, fintechs, marketplaces) that are critical to testing and launching B2B2C products.

Role
• Drive cross-portfolio new product strategy by assessing market trends and ecosystem developments to new core payments products and service opportunities, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders at a global and regional level
• Assess market opportunities, build storytelling / narratives and drive business cases that articulate value for Mastercard (e.g., customer engagement metrics, revenues)
• Drive thought leadership and the learning agenda across key opportunity spaces
• Influence and maintain key stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted partner for all innovation and product development needs
• Effectively partner and align with key groups across Mastercard (e.g., Technology, Operations, Legal) to develop solutions, gain support, get buy-in for key decisions

All About You
• Payments, financial services or technology experience (e.g., fintechs, issuers, acquirers, processors, digital wallets, super apps, tech platforms)
• Sound business judgment with established strategic/conceptual thinking and strategic planning skills
• Awareness of key trends and emerging technologies impacting Payments globally
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to drive compelling narratives / storylines, and business cases – driving clear consensus on product value propositions that are synthesized from a variety of inputs and viewpoints
• Ability to effectively collaborate with external (investors, fintech/strategic partners, industry thought leaders) and internal partners (e.g., Account Executives, Global Product, Technology, Operations, Data Analytics, Pricing, Legal) to launch products and solutions in market

Total Base Pay Range

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
