Title and Summary
Director, Deal Management OverviewThe North America Finance team is looking for a Director, Deal Management to support business partners in strategic deal structuring and execution across the region, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations to retain or win new business with issuers, merchants and other key customers. Specifically, this role will require strong analytical skills, initiative on thought leadership, strong project management skills and the ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Product, Risk, Pricing and Finance to drive high-impact outcomes in a dynamic and competitive market.
Role
• Collaborate with regional sales and account teams to develop commercially sound deal structures that support revenue growth and profitability.
• Review applicable deal documentation, including deal models, business cases, customer proposals, and agreements.
• Advise senior leadership on complex deal terms and risk mitigation strategies and facilitate management approval process.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards, internal policies, and audit requirements.
• Develop and maintain regional deal templates, playbooks, and/or governance frameworks to streamline operations.
• Provide both regular and ad-hoc reports and updates to senior management on deal pipeline, benchmarks, and/or performance.

• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior Mastercard executives and customers at various management levels
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess a natural collaborative style, and is able to work effectively and efficiently across the multiple areas and levels of the Mastercard organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including relevant experience in finance, accounting, risk management or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent preferred
