Job Summary
The Director of Agility Enablement and Assurance plays a pivotal leadership role in advancing Program agility, enabling high-impact delivery, and ensuring strategic alignment from concept to execution. This role is accountable for the maturity and consistency of agile practices, from work intake and planning through delivery and value realisation. The ideal candidate will blend agile expertise, strategic thinking, and delivery rigor—leading organisational change, building capability, driving data quality, and conducting assurance reviews that inform continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Agility & Enterprise Alignment
Partner with Senior Leaders to define and evolve the RTP International agility roadmap, aligning it with Program goals, product vision, and OKRs.
Engage with the PM Guild to align RTP International with Mastercard Best Practice and tooling.
Support portfolio governance and prioritisation to ensure agility enables measurable value delivery.
Agility Enablement & Maturity
Establish a Business Agility Maturity Model, conducting regular assessments to benchmark team and organisational growth.
Lead agility enablement programs across all levels—introducing new mindsets, methods, and tooling to enhance business agility.
Reinforce agile mindsets, team practices, and role clarity.
Establish communities of practice and internal coaching models to support self-sustaining maturity development.
Work Intake & Quarterly Planning
Design and govern the work intake process, ensuring requests are aligned with strategy, properly sized, and prioritised.
Drive Program wide Quarterly Planning to align cross-functional priorities, manage dependencies, and allocate capacity.
Ensure seamless flow from demand (Aha!) to delivery (Jira), supporting visibility and traceability.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Promote continuous improvement practices through retrospectives, data-informed decision-making, and feedback loops.
Foster a culture of innovation by enabling lean experimentation, rapid prototyping, and learning through iteration.
Partner with teams to remove systemic blockers and streamline ways of working.
Metrics, Data Quality & Reporting
Define, capture, and analyse agility metrics—including flow efficiency, predictability, delivery rate, and business value realization.
Ensure data quality and integrity across Aha!, Jira, and related platforms to enable actionable insights and trustworthy reporting.
Develop visual dashboards and narratives for executive stakeholders to inform decisions and measure transformation success.
Aha! Program Owner, ensuring data quality, dashboard development and maintenance, as well as , access control to the RTP International Private workspace.
Assurance Reviews & Governance
Conduct regular assurance reviews to evaluate team performance, agile practice adoption, and portfolio delivery health.
Identify systemic risks or gaps and recommend corrective actions based on structured review findings.
Integrate assurance results into continuous improvement plans and agile maturity roadmaps.
Training, Coaching & Ways of Working
Design and deliver training programs tailored to roles.
Provide coaching at the team, leadership, and portfolio levels to embed agile values and support cultural change.
Standardise and evolve ways of working across teams while allowing for context-sensitive flexibility.
Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and execute internal communication strategies to share agile progress, success stories, and tool adoption updates.
Act as a strategic advisor and agility champion in leadership forums, influencing executive mindset and decision-making.
Foster alignment and engagement across business units, technology teams, and enabling functions.

Qualifications
Required:
Significant experience leading agile transformation or enablement at scale in large, matrixed organizations.
Proven experience with enterprise tools such as Aha!, Jira and Confluence.
Deep understanding of agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and continuous improvement.
Strong experience with work intake governance, strategic planning processes, and assurance reviews.
Proficient in defining and monitoring agile and delivery metrics with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality.
Exceptional coaching, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred:
Certifications: SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), ICAgile Certified Professional – Agility in the Enterprise (ICP-ENT), or equivalent.
Experience in innovation frameworks (e.g., Lean Startup, Design Thinking).
