Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Business Experimentation consultants advise executives on business decisions using Mastercard's industry-leading predictive analytics SaaS platform, Test & Learn®. They work with customers to identify key priorities, then design and run business experiments to establish which ideas work and how to deploy them.
Role
Client Impact
• Lead complex client engagements across a range of industries and problem statements
• Direct the development of strategies and programs for regional and global clients by leveraging data science tools including Test & Learn® to drive business impact for clients as well as Mastercard
• Own senior client relationships from mid-level to C-suite to drive commercial success
• Serve as a trusted client business advisor and generate enthusiasm for the Mastercard team and our recommendations
• Provide strategic guidance to maximize business impact with relevant use cases and combine it with analytical subject matter expertise to drive client success through Test & Learn® adoption and competency
Team Collaboration & Culture
• Guide team through complex problem solving to business-focused solutions and recommendations that drive client value
• Motivate the project delivery team to drive impactful use cases and produce superior quality deliverables, and create a collaborative and inclusive environment for all levels
• Own relationship with internal Mastercard stakeholders including Product and Business Development to scope projects, create relevant solutions for clients, and build the firm's intellectual capital
• Lead on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to both direct and outside team members
All about you
• Experience in leading teams across large, strategic consulting engagements that involve structured problem solving and stakeholder management
• Experience leading senior client relationships
• Deep knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership
• Ability to identify new business development opportunities, and experience leading proposal development and scoping of new opportunities
• Logical, structured thinking, and experience with data analysis
• Analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to analyze large amounts of data and synthesize key findings and recommendations
• Ability to lead multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience generating new knowledge or creating innovative solutions for a firm
Qualifications
Basic qualifications
• Undergraduate degree with analytical experience in consulting, analytics, or data science
• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
• Experience in leading teams across multiple projects
• 10-15 of professional experience in managing senior client relationships
• 10-15 years of experience in strategy transformation or analytical consulting projects
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)
• Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs
Preferred qualifications
• Additional relevant data and analytics experience in data modeling and database management (e.g., SQL), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), or time series analysis and segmentation
• Relevant industry expertise
• MBA or master's degree with relevant specialization (not required)
