Title and Summary

Content Strategy Analyst II Overview

This position involves creating and delivering technical content and publications about Mastercard products and services for our customers. The position involves performing all stages of the processes to publish technical content in online, mobile, and printed formats. It also includes researching, evaluating, selecting, and implementing new enterprise-wide processes and technologies.

Role

• Work with cross functional Teams and multiple Business/Product Owners to create and update technical content
• Accountable for the successful completion of high-quality projects within the technical writing function
• Ensure updates are made to content in accordance to the CS&D writing standards
• Manage day-to-day writing and publishing needs to deliver content online for consumption through multiple channels including Web and mobile
• Provide excellent customer service to our business partners and customers
• Author in XML or markdown, a tool utilized for content creation and editing
• Publish technical content to multiple platforms and output types, such as
PDF, HTML, Wiki, and online help file generation

Code
• Basic understanding of DITA/XML, HTML, and PDF
• Familiarity with taxonomy and entitlements within HTML, Markdown, and XML
• Willingness to learn and expand knowledge of Information Architecture
• Willingness to mentor and train peers
• Experience with MSTP/Chicago/any other technical publication guidelines
Content Excellence Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first level of escalation for styles and standards-related questions.
• Members will serve as representatives of the style guide, ensuring that you intake any questions or concerns from your writing team(s) and will
communicate styles and standards-related changes to writing teams.
• Serve as point person for Acrolinx. Member will gather all terms requests, issues or bugs related to Acrolinx performance.
• Communicate changes in styles, standards and Acrolinx to individual team
• Maintain the MC Dictionary and List of Common Terminology
• Train and mentor writers on best Acrolinx practices
• Stay on top of current technology trends and processes
