Overview
The Corporate Treasury team performs all global treasury activities for Mastercard, including capital planning analysis, rating agency relationships, foreign exchange risk management and trading, cash management, cash positioning, global funding & liquidity management, pensions asset-liability management, and various capital markets transactions (debt issuances, equity share buy-back) including credit facility management.
The Role
The Cash Operations Manager in Bogotá will lead the execution and oversight of global payroll funding and operational liquidity management for non-core entities. This position ensures operational needs are met while maintaining compliance with SOX and regulatory requirements. The Manager will supervise an analyst responsible for payment execution, liquidity monitoring, and issue resolution, and will act as the primary escalation point for banking and transactional inquiries. Additionally, this role will partner with global Treasury leadership to drive process improvements, enhance automation, and support technology initiatives. The Manager will also serve as the full backup for the Core Cash Operations Manager in Purchase, NY, assuming all managerial responsibilities during absences.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Oversight
• Oversee global payroll funding and liquidity management for non-core entities, ensuring operational needs are met.
• Execute operational approvals for cash movements and maintain compliance with internal controls.
• Manage and mentor the Cash Operations Analyst, ensuring high performance and development.
• Act as the escalation point for complex payment issues and banking inquiries.
• Serve as backup for the Core Cash Operations Manager in Purchase, NY, assuming full leadership responsibilities when required.
Reporting and Analytics
• Review and approve daily, monthly, and quarterly cash and liquidity reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior Treasury leadership based on liquidity trends and operational metrics.
Process Improvement and Technology
• Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve automation within cash operations.
• Partner with technology teams to implement and optimize Treasury Management System (TMS) functionalities.
Cross-Functional Support
• Serve as a key liaison with Treasury, Controllership, and regional finance teams to resolve operational issues.
• Represent Cash Operations in global projects and governance forums.

About You
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving operational excellence.
• Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Robust understanding of treasury operations, cash management, and liquidity processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and treasury systems.
• Experience with Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Reval) and process improvement initiatives.
• Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
• Prior treasury or financial operations experience required; experience in system implementation strongly preferred.
