Title and Summary
BizOps Engineer II Job Summary :We are seeking a skilled and experienced BizOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 6 years of experience in Java, Oracle EBS technical support, and BizOps functions. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, data management, and audit trails. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing integration pipelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates, and supporting overall BizOps functions.
Role:
Th role of Business Operations is to be the production readiness steward for the platform. This is achieved by closely collaborating with developers to design, build, implement, and support technology services.
A Business Operations Engineer ensures operational criteria such as system availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, self-healing, and deployment automation are incorporated throughout the delivery process. Business Operations plays a pivotal role in leading the DevOps transformation at Mastercard through our tooling and by advocating for change and standards across development, quality, release, and product organizations. This transformation is accomplished through daily operations with a focus on triage and root cause analysis, understanding the business impact of our products.
The goal of every BizOps team is to shift left to be more proactive and upfront in the development process, and to manage production and change activities proactively to maximize customer experience and increase the overall value of supported applications. BizOps teams also prioritize risk management by integrating all activities with an overarching responsibility for compliance and risk mitigation across all environments. A BizOps focus includes streamlining and standardizing traditional application-specific support activities and centralizing interaction points for both internal and external partners by effectively communicating with all key stakeholders. Ultimately, the role of BizOps aligns Product and Customer Focused priorities with Operational needs. We regularly review our run state from both an internal perspective and provide feedback to our development partners on how we can improve the customer experience of our applications.
Knowledge / Experience:
• Demonstrated experience as a technical expert in Oracle EBS R12, specifically within financial modules (AP, AR, CM, FA, GL).
• Extensive experience with Java, including J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, Spring Boot, Spring (MVC, Security), Tomcat 8+, Hibernate, SQL, RDBMS (Oracle), and Web-services (JSON and SOAP).
• Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs and Web Services using Java and Spring Boot and deploying them on one of the public cloud platforms.
• Thorough understanding of CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, Chef, Habitat, GIT, Maven, Sonar, and Checkmarx.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Databases, SQL, and PL/SQL development.
• Familiarity with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT) and vulnerability management.
• Proficient in using Putty, TOAD, and Remedy tools.
• Competent in Linux and Unix Shell Scripting.
• Working knowledge of monitoring and analysis tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, and XLR.

Education:
• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience.
