Overview
Mastercard has a vision to build a leadership position as the only truly multi-rail payments technology company and Europe is at the forefront in defining and executing our multi-rail strategy. Commercial payments are a large opportunity for Mastercard in the xxxx market. This role will develop and grow our commercial products and solutions for large market B2B and Travel & Entertainment, supplier payments and embedded finance technology partnerships.

Key accountabilities of the role
• Grow commercial acceptance volumes & increase revenues by identifying and pursuing direct opportunities with new suppliers identified through our FI partners.
• Execute on leadership established and pre-defined sales strategy and through a segmented approach towards mid and large b2b suppliers, and accounts receivable partners.
• Responsible for rigorous sales pipeline management & new business KPI's
• Works across the different European business functions, coordinating with local product and account management teams.
• Consult with b2b merchants with a consultative and strategic approach to uncover a full understanding of their card acceptance processes and challenges.
• Prospect, contact, and support onboarding of new suppliers through multiple engagement channels including local meetings, events & conferences.
• Enhance ongoing business development relationships with the industry by
attending & participating in webinars, and customer trainings in the commercial b2b acceptance payments space.
• This is a sole contributor role, which requires a hunter mindset with a ‘will to win' approach.

All About You
• Hunter mentality with a proven track record of creating, driving, and winning new business with mid and large market corporate organisations.
• Commercial payments experience and knowledge with 5+ years' experience in the payments or financial services sector.
• A track record of executing against clear sales action plan including forecasting & pipeline management.
• Proven ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships with large and multinational customers.
• Strong collaborator - able to build trusted partnerships both internally and externally.
• Track record in consistently achieving business growth targets as sole contributor.
• Comfortable with roles that require discretion, integrity, and agility.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills to articulate solutions and value propositions to senior management stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively and deliver results in a highly cross-functional environment.
• Experience in a B2B issuing / acquiring role beneficial but not essential
